How to plan a trip without losing your mind

The best trips don't happen by accident — but they also don't require spreadsheets at 2 a.m. Here's how I plan without the stress.

Start with the feeling, not the flight. Do you want slow mornings or packed days? Mountains or cities? A trip that answers those questions first is already halfway to great.

Then build around anchors — the one or two experiences you absolutely want. Everything else becomes connective tissue. The best itineraries leave room for the unexpected restaurant, the wrong turn that leads somewhere right, the conversation with a stranger.

If planning drains you, that's exactly why I offer custom itineraries. You bring the dream; I handle the logistics.
