✦ Draft itinerary

✦ The itinerary

Day by day

Buenos Aires 2 nights · Iguazu Falls 2 nights · Salta and Jujuy 4 nights · Patagonia 5 nights · Buenos Aires 1 night (14 nights)

  1. Days 1 to 2

    Buenos Aires

Arrive and settle in, with a welcome dinner. Explore Recoleta and San Telmo, then an evening that feels like the city showing off. 2 nights.

Colorful buildings along Caminito in La Boca, Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, the first stop on the draft route.
  2. Days 3 to 4

    Iguazu Falls

Fly from Buenos Aires. Explore the Argentine side in full, including the Devils Throat walkways, and take in the Brazilian side panorama. 2 nights.

  3. Days 5 to 8

    Salta and Jujuy, the north

Salta is our base for a Cafayate wine country day and a day in Purmamarca and the Humahuaca gorge. One slow flex day leaves room to take it all in. 4 nights.

  4. Days 9 to 13

    Patagonia

El Calafate for 2 nights, with the Perito Moreno glacier as the anchor day, then El Chalten for 3 nights in Fitz Roy country. Laguna Capri is the kind hike, with Laguna de los Tres for strong legs. One built-in weather flex day means a washed-out day does not sink the headline hike. 5 nights.

  5. Days 14 to 15

    Buenos Aires

Back in Buenos Aires for a farewell dinner and 1 night. The trip ends on April 12.

    How booking works

Three payments, spread out, with nothing charged automatically. We email you a secure payment link and a reminder before each one is due.

    1. Step 1: Reserve your spot. A $500 deposit per person holds your spot. When booking opens for a trip, we email the waitlist the deposit link first. Your spot is confirmed once the deposit is paid.
    2. Step 2: Second payment. 90 days before departure, 50% of your remaining balance is due.
    3. Step 3: Final balance. 45 days before departure, the rest is due. Then all that is left is to pack.

Example, on the Colombia trip ($2,800 per person): $500 deposit, then $1,150 at 90 days out, then $1,150 at 45 days out.

Full payment and cancellation terms live on our cancellation policy page.

    Frequently asked questions

Q: What is included, and what is not included?
A: Draft inclusions: 14 nights of stays, breakfast every day and select other meals, domestic flights between the trip stops, all ground transfers, the listed experiences including the Perito Moreno glacier day and Iguazu Falls, and local guides. Hosted by Dyana + an Argentine local. Final inclusions are confirmed with the final plan. Not included: international flights, meals that are not listed, drinks, personal expenses, and travel insurance.
Q: How big is the group?
A: Small on purpose: 8 to 12 guests. Big enough to be fun and share costs, small enough that nobody gets lost in the crowd.
    Q: Who hosts the trip?
A: Hosted by Dyana + an Argentine local.
Q: How fit do I need to be?
A: In this draft, most days are moderate. Laguna de los Tres is the big hike, with Laguna Capri as the gentler option the same day. A built-in weather flex day protects the headline hike, and the pacing is never rushed.
    Q: Can I come solo?
A: Yes, and most guests do. Someplace trips are built for solo travelers who want company on the road. You will share a room with another guest, or you can request a single room (see below).
Q: How does room sharing work? Can I get a single room?
A: Prices are per person based on two guests sharing a twin room. Traveling with a friend or partner? We will room you together. Coming solo, we pair you with another solo guest. Single rooms can be requested when you book and are priced at booking, based on what the hotels charge us. We confirm availability before anything is final.
Q: When do I pay what?
A: $500 deposit to reserve, 50% of the remaining balance 90 days before departure, and the final balance 45 days before departure. See "How booking works" above. If booking has not opened for your trip yet, join the waitlist and the deposit link will land in your inbox the moment it does.
Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: Life happens, and you can also transfer your spot to another person instead of cancelling. The full refund schedule is on our cancellation policy page, in plain language.
Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: We strongly recommend it, especially coverage for trip cancellation and medical care abroad. The best time to buy it is right after you book, while the most options are open to you.
    Q: How do I hold a spot?
A: Join the waitlist on this page. When booking opens, we email the waitlist a deposit link, and paying the $500 deposit is what holds your spot. No payment is taken for the waitlist itself.
