Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2026
These terms cover booking and traveling on a hosted group trip with Someplace Travel ("Someplace," "we"). By booking a trip, you agree to these terms and to the Cancellation Policy, which is part of these terms. If anything here ever conflicts with the Cancellation Policy page, the Cancellation Policy page governs payments, refunds, and cancellations.
Who can book
Guests must be 18 or older. The person who books is responsible for their own payments and for sharing trip information with anyone they book for.
What you are booking
A hosted small-group trip planned and led by Someplace, as described on the trip page at the time you book. Trip prices are per person in USD and include what the trip page lists as included. International flights to and from the destination are never included. Do not book your international flights until you receive your trip confirmed email from Someplace.
Paying
A $500 deposit per person holds your spot. The remaining balance is split into monthly installments, auto-charged through our booking checkout (WeTravel), with the final installment due on the trip's final payment date. You can pay extra or settle your balance early at any time at no charge. There is a 7 day grace period after each due date with two reminders; after that, if we have not worked something out together, your spot can be released and any refund follows the Cancellation Policy.
Cancellations, transfers, and changes by you
The Cancellation Policy page has the full refund table. In short: the $500 deposit is non-refundable on a guest cancellation; refunds step down as departure gets closer (everything but the deposit at 91 or more days out, 50% at 61 to 90 days, 25% at 31 to 60 days, no refund inside 30 days); and you can transfer your spot to another person free of any Someplace fee up to 45 days before departure, with any supplier name-change costs passed through at cost. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed.
If Someplace cancels or changes a trip
Trips need a minimum of 6 guests to run, checked 60 days before departure. If Someplace cancels a trip for any reason, including low numbers, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid, deposit included. Someplace may adjust an itinerary when safety, weather, or supplier conditions require it, and will substitute experiences of a similar nature and quality where possible. An itinerary adjustment is not, by itself, grounds for a refund outside the Cancellation Policy.
Travel insurance (required)
Every guest must carry travel insurance covering, at minimum, emergency medical care abroad and medical evacuation. You can add a policy in the booking checkout or upload proof of your own policy by your trip's final payment date. If proof is not in by that date, you cannot travel with the group, and money you have paid is handled under the Cancellation Policy based on the date.
Your travel documents
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visas or entry requirements for the trip, and for their costs. For trips that cross into Brazil (including the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls), United States passport holders need a Brazil eVisa, which is the guest's responsibility to obtain in time.
Conduct
Group trips only work if everyone can feel safe and relaxed. If a guest's behavior seriously disrupts the group or puts anyone at risk, Someplace may remove them from the trip after trying to resolve things with a conversation first. There is no refund for the unused portion in that case, and onward travel costs are the guest's own.
Things nobody can control
If events outside anyone's control (a natural disaster, a government closure, an airline shutdown, or similar) make a trip impossible or unsafe to run, Someplace's first move is to reschedule or reroute with the group. If the trip truly cannot run, the "If Someplace cancels" rule applies: a full refund of everything you have paid. If suppliers are holding money that cannot be recovered, Someplace will be transparent about where things stand.
Risk and liability
Travel and the activities on these trips (including hiking, altitude, boat trips, and adventure activities) carry inherent risks. By booking, you accept those risks for yourself. To the extent allowed by law, Someplace's liability for any claim arising from a trip is limited to the total amount you paid Someplace for that trip. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Questions about these terms: hello@someplacetravel.com.
